This was written to commemorate a horrible camping weather day, complete with horizontal rain, in Ullapool, NW Scotland. Having interrupted breaking camp to relieve myself, I returned to the tent to find my ex-wife rolling around in the canvas with 2 large German guys. in their favor, they were trying to stop her being dragged into the minch by a vicious wind that was sweeping through the campsite. Nevertheless it was sort of fun exciting to watch, in weird way. We laughed. Well, at least I did.
That aside, was very disappointed to see that the forecast showed much of the same weather or the next week, but, upon spotting a small bit of blue sky among the gloom, I we, with hope abounding, followed it south, in the hope that it might grow bigger. It stopped over Aviemore, the armpit of Cairngorm mountains.
Somewhat reluctantly, we stopped and camped happily for 5 more dry and pleasant days in Coylumbridge, which had a good pub and campground. it still does, but with even more camping and pub choices, as i recently found.
The barber shop quartet sound competes the irony of the back-story. I have no clue why it came out like this.
Oh well. Enjoy.
1
If I’m feeling down, and out of luck
and everything round me, seems to suck,
If I’m woebegone, or feeling sick,
There’s only one thing that makes me tick.
Chorus
I need a little bit of blue sky, My little bit of blue sky,
My little bit of blue sky, I’m going to follow you.
2.
If I feel I’m underneath a cloud,
I’m gonna stand up tall and proud,
I’ll just look up there, and all around,
To see, if my blue sky, can be found.
Chorus
I need a little bit of blue sky, My little bit of blue sky,
My little bit of blue sky, I’m going to follow you.
Bridge.
I don’t need money, I don’t need gold,
I don’t need anything at all,
All I need is crystal clear
Just give me, some azure atmosphere.
Chorus + Solo + Chorus
Chorus x 2 _
My little bit of blue sky I’m going to follow you.
My little bit of blue sky I’m going to follow you.
